The deposit is the security deposit that is delivered directly to the owner of the vehicle on the day of departure, before the delivery of the keys. The owner freely decides the amount of the deposit, also called “guarantee deposit”. A minimum amount is not imposed, nor a regulatory percentage. However, on the website the bonds usually range between 500 and 2000 €.

The deposit can be delivered in cash, by transfer, or by bank check in which the name of the owner appears. This amount will be included in both copies of the rental agreement, so any payment that you want to make of the deposit must be supported by the contract and due invoices if damage occurs that is not compensable by the insurance.
What does it cover?
This deposit allows the owner to cover possible internal damages incurred by the traveler during the rental (for example: broken plates, damaged table, cleaning, etc.) as well as any sum owed to the owner if there are damages to the vehicle with respect to the initial condition figure in the rental agreement. Likewise, it can be used to cover the excess of kilometers when they exceed the mileage chosen by the traveler and / or the amount of the insurance franchise if necessary.
If there is no anomaly on the return
The owner must obligatorily return the deposit to the travelers after checking the status of the vehicle on the day of return. In case of receiving a fine later, Yescapa is committed to managing the compensation between the owner and the traveler.
If there are damages found on return
The owner keeps the deposit until the amount of repairs that must be made is known. The budget must be presented to Yescapa and the traveler as soon as possible. It is advisable that the compensations in case of exceeding the chosen mileage or for lack of fuel are paid in hand on the day of return, whenever possible.
