Desktop Metal extends its global partnership with Solidcam to four new countries, expanding the reach of Shop System and Studio System metal additive manufacturing printers. New demo sites are on the way. The partnership will kick off with a CNC+AM campaign at the upcoming IMTS in Chicago.
Additive manufacturing company Desktop Metal has expanded its relationship with CNC software innovator Solidcam, creator of iMachining toolpath technology and distributor of solutions to precision metal fabricators worldwide.
Solidcam, which was founded in 1984, has been offering Desktop Metal products in Germany since 2021. Now it will offer Desktop Metal solutions for direct metal printing to customers in the United States, where the company has technology centers at its US headquarters in Newton. and Rancho Cucamonga, as well as the UK, Israel and India. In total, Solidcam has about 100 direct sales team members globally.
Additionally, new CNC + AM Center of Excellence showrooms are currently being completed in Pennsylvania, Germany and the UK to demonstrate how Desktop Metal’s AM 2.0 solutions complement technology and workflows. traditional subtractive machining. Additional installations are also expected to be completed in California, Israel and India.
Solidcam will showcase Desktop Metal equipment and solutions at its booth at IMTS 2022 from September 12-17 in Chicago. Desktop Metal will also have two booths at the show, where it will showcase its Additive Manufacturing 2.0 metal, polymer and digital metal casting solutions.
