dormakaba to sell Mesker business to executives of Trimco and Metal Manufacturing Industries

MAY 2, 2022, INDIANAPOLIS – dormakaba has signed an agreement to sell its Mesker hollow metal door business to key executives from Trimco (Oceanside, CA) and Metal Manufacturing Industries/MMI (San Luis Potosi, Mexico). The sale is expected to be finalized no later than June 30, 2022, the end of the current fiscal year. Thereafter, Mesker will operate under a new entity known as Mesker MBM, LP.

Trimco is a recognized leader in the North American market for the innovation, design and manufacture of architectural hardware products. MMI is the leading manufacturer of hollow metal doors and frames in the Mexican market and exports its products to Central and South America.

dormakaba acquired Mesker in late 2016. The Design Hardware product line, which was acquired along with Mesker’s hollow metal door business, was spun off and integrated into dormakaba’s architectural hardware portfolio, where it will remain. The hollow metal door business operates under the Mesker, HMX and WDX brands at four locations: Phoenix, Arizona; Huntsville, Alabama; Mesquite, TX; and Deerfield Beach, Florida.
